The PMA 5 automatic closed-cup flash point tester with integrated fire extinguishing system measures the flash point, the lowest temperature at which the vapors of a sample ignite upon application of an ignition source. PMA 5 is suitable for biodiesel and biodiesel-blended fuels, distillate fuels like diesel, heating oil, kerosene and much more.

Standard methods:
ASTM D93-A+B+C, ISO 2719-A+B, ISO 15267, JIS K 2265-3, IP 34 A+B

Application range:
Pp to 405 °C

Benefits of PMA 5 at Diesel fuel oil

Flash point values may be used in shipping, storage, handling and for safety regulations, as a classification property to define “flammable” and combustible materials. PMA 5 determines the flash point of petroleum products in a closed cup and in a range from 40 °C to 360 °C. Three methods are included: Method A for diesel fuels, Method B for lubricating oils and Method C for pure biodiesel (FAME) for which an automatic application is required.
